Description

A nativity retablo made of painted wood. The retablo is composed of a wood box decorated with floral shapes. Inside the box is a nativity made of painted wood figures attached to two shelves. The top shelf depicts an outdoors nativity scene with baby Jesus in the center and Mary, Joseph, animals, wisemen, and praying people surrounding him. The bottom shelf depicts an indoor Peruvian family scene including three women and a man plus wall art, small fabric rugs, a guitar and animals. All of the figures in the scene are painted colorfully and the man in the bottom shelf has become detached.
