An acrylic painting made on canvas by Zuni artist T. Lasiloo. The painting depicts a snake with its mouth open and wearing a feathered headress. In the center of the painting is a sun face or the Sun Father, an important cultural symbol of the Zuni people and one of their three main kachinas or deities. For the Zuni, the Sun symbolized abundance, continuity, stability, positive energy, hope, happiness and peace.
