Description

This is a ceramic candle holder or luminary made in Peru. The candle holder is in a long half cylinder shape with the very top of the cylinder holding the candle holders and a sculpted bird and flowers. The rest of the cylinder is divided into three sections. The top section depicts a priest with two nuns. The middle section depicts women and men holding items for market and one small dog next to a woman figure. The bottom section depicts men and women holding items or standing with their hands towards their chest. Most of the figures on the cylinder are three dimensional figures that are attached to the side of the cylinder. The inside of the cylinder is hollow.
