Description

Most likely produced during the colonial period in Bolivia (pre-1825), this is a silvered hammered dance mask. The mask is mounted on a velvet lined frame with mono-filament nylon. The mask may be a product of the Aymara Indians of Bolivia and used for ceremonial dances.
