This is a wool shawl from Tenejapa, Chiapas, Mexico. The shawl has vibrant pink pom poms that are attached to its ends. This shawl's long black wool comes from sheep raised by indigenous Tzotzil men of the Chiapas highlands, most notibly the town of San Juan Chamula. The sheep are raised exclusively to turn their fur into beautiful garments.
