This is a poncho most likley made by the Aymara of Bolivia for a male wearer. It is hand woven of alpaca or llama wool with fine lustrous hand spun wool warp and wool weave. It is made of two panels conjoined together as shown with a space / slit allocated for head. The poncho is both aesthetically appealing with its vibrant colors and patterns and practical, its alpaca or llama wool has the ability to insulate against cold and, at the same time, dissipate perspiration of the wearer.
