Description

This is a Guatemalan huipil with a one panel embroidery of flowers on its front side. It is likely from Chichicastenango, Guatemala, a town known for its Quiché people (the largest group of the Mayan population). Made of cotton, the huipil was likely hand woven on a backstrap loom.
