Description

This is a fly whisk made with tail hair from the Nguni cow, a hand carved wood handle, multicolored patterned beads woven around the handle, and a leather strap. The fly whisk is most likely of Zulu origin and from South Africa. The fly whisk is used by the Sangoma - An African traditional healer or witch doctor, when performing ceremonies.
