This is a detailed faja (belt) made in the style of San Antonio Aguas Calientes, a small town in Guatemala known for its Mayan weavers. Fajas are used as the belt to hold up the corte (skirt) in the Mayan traje or outfit. This faja is woven in white and is decorated on one half with an embroidered floral design.
