Description

This cinta or hand-woven hair sash was woven on a back-strap loom in Zunil, a town in the Quetzaltenango department of  Guatemala and on the bank of the Salamá River. The cinta has repeating woven designs with pom pom and tassels at either end. Women wear this style of cinta in their hair as part of their outfit.
