Description
This ceramic piece is a dancing calavera disguised as a jaguar during a folk dance. It was made by Alfonso Castillo Orta of Izucar de Matamoros, Mexico in 2002. Orta was known more for his colorful trees of life, but this piece is representative of his calavera figures.
