A wood carved and painted alligator dessed in western wear. The alligator has a wide brimmed cowboy hat with a feather. It wears a concho belt with metal disks attached to both the belt and its shirt sleeves. The alligator also has a detached cane and pipe. The use of bright colors and the cartoon like appearance of the alligator are indicative of Delbert Buck's work. He has been quoted as saying that "he wants people to smile when they see his work".
